Layout and Typography

I thought this class taught the basic principles of layout.  I learned a more distinct difference between modern and traditional layout.

Book

Here is a picture that I took in Photography class last semester.  The one below is was also used in my class. I used this in my book because I thought I did the assignment well. I captured who the person was.

I used this poster for Modern layout in Desktop publishing this past semester.  I tend to do a mix of modern and traditional but this was one of my favorite modern layouts.
For my Imaging in advertising/public relations class we had to make a postcard for where we will be over Spring Break.  I chose a simple place that wouldn't make my pale skin stick out!

For my Desktop Publishing class we had to make a professional resume.  This is an example of mine, except I deleted my picture that was on there.
For our Layout and Topography class we had to make a traditional and modern layout of a poem.  I liked my traditional one the best which is why i chose to upload it on here!

Spring Break Brochure

The top portion of this is my back, mailing, and front of my brochure.  I chose this layout because it gave a relaxed and fun feel.  It wasn't too structured and the colors gave it a "spring feel".

The bottom portion is the inside of my brochure. I used the same color palette and easy to follow layout.  I thought it resembled my spring break well.

Final Projects

Here are my promotional tactics for my book.  The top one is obviously my letterhead with a letter to Barnes and Noble of Fargo.  The following is my postcard to send out to Barnes and Noble customers.  The last one is my poster to hang around the F/M area so people come to my book signing.
